Good News Deserves to Be Heard

Our mission is to empower young people across the UK with confidence, media skills and critical thinking - helping them share positive stories and make their mark on the world.

About The Good News Post: Inspiring Young Voices Through Positive Journalism

The Good News Post exists to empower the next generation with confidence, critical thinking and real-world media skills. We believe young people should not only understand the media they consume, but actively shape it.

What We Do:

Through our School Good Newsroom Programme, we bring journalism into the classroom. Students learn how to research, interview and report on real stories happening in their communities.

Along the way, they develop practical skills in communication, teamwork and storytelling while gaining a deeper understanding of media bias, journalistic integrity and the growing role of AI in modern news.

We go beyond the classroom too, creating opportunities for students to interview public figures, attend live events and experience the world of media first-hand.

Why It Matters:

In a world of constant information, knowing how to think critically is just as important as what to think. By focusing on positive journalism, we help young people build confidence, recognise the good in their communities and share stories that might otherwise go unheard.

School Good Newsroom

Businesses have an incredible opportunity to change lives while sharing powerful positive stories about their organisation.

When you sponsor a school newsroom, you help young people develop confidence, communication skills and a voice within their community.

In return, your business becomes part of a year-long programme of positive journalism and community storytelling.

Your organisation will be recognised as a supporter of education, youth development and local communities — while also benefiting from authentic PR and media coverage.

Many sponsors choose to support their former school, creating a meaningful full-circle moment for both the business and the students.

A Movement Built on Good News

The Good News Post is more than a newspaper.

It’s a growing network of schools, businesses and supporters who believe that the stories we tell shape the world we live in.

By empowering young people to become storytellers, we are creating a new generation of journalists focused on hope, kindness and community.

Together, we can make sure good news is heard just as loudly as the bad.

The Good News Post is a UK digital publication celebrating inspiring stories and uplifting journalism that promotes positivity, hope, well-being, and a happier outlook on life. [email protected]
